DEFY Iowa City

My four-year-old son and I had an extremely frightening and unsafe experience during Night Jump at DEFY Iowa City. I had just purchased a new membership that included Night Jump and was excited to continue visiting as a regular customer. During our visit, a large group of teenagers was yelling and repeatedly using loud profanity around young children. Staff members were not adequately monitoring the floor, so I reported the situation. Later, approximately 15–20 teenagers entered the dodgeball area and surrounded my son and me. They repeatedly threw dodgeballs toward us, and one teenager came close to me and called both my four-year-old son and me an extremely offensive name. When I picked up my son and attempted to leave, members of the group continued throwing balls in our direction, including toward my son’s head. As I tried to collect our belongings, the group followed and surrounded us in a corner of the facility. Several teenagers continued yelling threats and insults, approaching me from multiple directions and lifting their shirts as though they wanted to fight. I had to keep my four-year-old behind me because I was genuinely concerned that the group might attack us. Eve

Had a great experience at Defy Iowa City! The facility was clean, organized, and full of fun activities. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. Finn was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. He went out of his way to answer questions, make sure we had everything we needed, and helped create a positive experience from start to finish. It's always nice when an employee genuinely cares about the guests, and Finn definitely made a great impression. We'll be back again soon. Highly recommend Defy Iowa City!

It’s a place that offers fun and relaxation while also providing a workout for kids, teens, and adults—there’s no age limit on having a good time here! It’s definitely a place that brings people together, encouraging kids to play and make friends, and allowing teens to unwind (which is so important, lol). Safety is a priority, with staff always on hand to ensure everyone follows the rules, creating an atmosphere where music, lights, and laughter combine to create the magic of fun. There’s also plenty of space for parents to sit and relax while supervising their children; there are even massage chairs where you can enjoy a relaxing moment—whether you're working on a project or just binge-watching Netflix—while your little one has a blast jumping. There are age-specific zones, arcade games, and tables where you can enjoy a drink and a snack! Everything here is wonderful, and—in case you were wondering—the restrooms are always spotless! That’s a huge plus. As a mom, I invite you to bring your kids or the whole family to jump and enjoy a truly family-friendly environment! The prices are very affordable, and becoming a member makes it even better since you’ll save money. The most import

Zach, the manager is one of the nicest workers here. I think he deserves every promotion you give him. He has been my best friend for the last five years that I’ve gone here. Taylor second best she’s good at chess. She’s almost beaten it. She’s almost up to my level not even close though. And then Marquis is One of the nicest workers

We had an amazing time at DEFY Iowa City! The park was clean, the attractions were awesome, but what really stood out was the staff. SaRon greeted us with a smile, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to make my son's birthday special. Customer service like that is hard to find. We'll definitely be back!
